Most people are unaware that medicines languishing in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse. The rate of prescription abuse in the US is increasing at alarming rates, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs. In addition, many people do not know how to properly dispose of their unused or outdated prescriptions.
